About Us
The Columbus Space Program (CSP 4188) has had a rich history of impacting the youth in Southwest Georgia since 2009. From encouraging high school students across the county to pursue a career in engineering to teaching elementary-aged students to code, the Columbus Space Program stays true to its mission: to positively impact our community by creating the STEM leaders of the future. Today, our FRC team, 4188, is composed of 30 driven young adults who are guided by motivated adult mentors. We have qualified for the FRC world championship 8 times, won several events and awards, and created the leaders of the future in a unique, competition-based environment centered on cooperation, positivity, and inclusivity.
Since 2016, the Columbus Space Program and the Muscogee County School District have launched multiple FIRST teams across the community, to include our own CSP FTC teams (Space Devils, Ecliptic, and AstroBots). Additionally, our CSP members mentor FTC and FLL teams locally and across the county. The Columbus Space Program's success is due, in large part, to the generous support provided by the school district and Superintendent Dr. David Lewis.

Subteams
To build a robot effectively requires team members to develop specific skillsets that differ from person to person. CSP has organized these skillsets into four subteams, which have further specializations as team members advance in their training.
